When I first moved to California I was ‘welcomed’ with flowers and champagne. As I begin to unpack from this recent move I was ‘welcomed’ with movers – food in the fridge and well those 2 comparisons shows just how ‘they not like us’.

I already realize I have to redo this living room, and I am not upset about it.

The new space has an upgraded kitchen, a separate laundry room and the comfort of knowing that I am free from that which did not serve me. Some might call me weird but I always slept with 1 eye open. Sure nothing ‘happened’ but I needed to be aware and prepared if it did. The person who wrote FYPM and the woman who tries to weaponize fake tears in court are capable of anything. I now have a gated community to contribute to my safety.

I am loved the way I deserve for the first time in a very long time.

I have courtside seats whenever I want.

I have the peace of mind that was ripped away from me in May 2022 and I won’t give that up.
